My rating is only related to the price. If this were not so high, I would speak of a good hotel. However, the price is in no relation to the services in terms of sauna, food and rooms. This gives the impression of an extraordinary hotel. But. The food is certainly good, but nowhere near outstanding, especially in the details. The sauna is nice, but there is no outside area, you have to walk up one floor to the unadorned relaxation room, overall everything is kept very sober, just like the entire hotel. The friendly, but constantly changing staff does not show any personality. Even after a week, I couldn't find out who runs this hotel: The best thing about the stay was the wine, and this is of course the main focus in the winery. The location is very beautiful, but not outstanding either, so that it would justify the money.

Large selection of wines, great food, good service. I like the small, seasonal menu, where everyone should still find something. The fish was really well prepared, and extra requests weren't a problem either. I think the prices are appropriate for the quality. We will come back for sure.

Due to the many positive reviews and the description on the hotel page, we believed in a gem in the Palatinate and booked one of the "stylish rooms with a view" and half board for 7 nights. We took advantage of an offer from the hotel, "stay 5 nights, pay for 4 nights". For the 2 additional nights with half board, EUR 280.00 per night was requested. The wine hotel has a visually appealing restaurant with a nice inner courtyard, wine sales also take place. In terms of taste, the spartan decor of the renovated room didn't appeal to us, other guests may like this style. The "view" turned out to be an ugly view of wooden pallets and tanks. Toiletries in the bathroom included soap, sewing kits, and a hair dryer. The bed linen was not changed in the week of our stay, the towels occasionally. The wellness area was not completed during our stay. There is no working telephone network. Daily newspapers are not offered, brochures on bike rental on request. The front desk was only manned by the hour, the staff in the restaurant area were friendly, and sometimes the German language was insufficient. Complaints are responded to in an unprofessional manner at the reception and in the restaurant area, the staff are not trained. That it is supposed to be a family-run hotel could not be noticed, it seemed rather unmanageable. The food in the restaurant was mostly good, but the menu changed little during the week, especially little change in the main courses. The waiting time for the food was often long. There was nothing to complain about at breakfast, except that there were no rolls and only a little bread on 2 days for late risers. The services correspond to a 3 star hotel, but I would like to call the prices for overnight stay and half board unacceptable. Here you don't have to worry about the hotel guests. We won't stay at the wine hotel again.

It's one thing when the place is fully booked and you don't get a table because of it, but it's another thing when you have the feeling of not being welcomed and therefore quite abruptly: All tables reserved !! .... and there were quite a few tables free !! .. and still no prime time for dinner .... I can hardly imagine that at 5 p.m. all tables were reserved at the same time .... a short stay with a small meal would have us enough .... 4 people, food, drinks .... we were able to experience a different wine bar in the area with a very nice ambience and friendly service ....

The hotel does not live up to its own standards and falls far short of its ambitions. In addition, there is a more than questionable attitude in dealing with poor performance of the hotel as well as in communication with the guests. This perception expressly does not refer to the restaurant, which was really good in terms of service and price / performance on the evening we visited.

Highly recommended restaurant on a vineyard. Romantic inner courtyard, delicious and refined food, attentive service.

Simply cozy and very tasty. Gladly again - no frills but a good portion and that very good. ! There is no beer here. Just a good selection of wines. I will gladly come again.

Our second visit. And again absolutely delicious. Hem stomach with sausage, sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. Very good, friendly service. Cozy, quiet courtyard.

We are excited! The ambience is beautiful. The service is courteous. The room feeling like at home. We feel very well and are happy that we have booked at least three nights. And the wine & sparkling wine & food & breakfast a poem.! Many thanks to the complete Fritz Walter team.

Were here for the open day. The wine tasting was very pleasant and informal, but there was always someone there if you had a question. Very large selection, we have the same set for the rest of the summer. Were still food, which was delicious, service was also good. Prices are slightly higher than the competition in the area. Unfortunately, no credit cards are accepted.

Wonderful. Nice atmosphere, quiet atmosphere. Professional employees. Food fresh, seasonal, gigantic super. I will definitely eat there more often. It was just really delicious and it fit everything. There was nothing to complain about, neither kitchen nor service. Also diverse wishes were not a problem. There is really the child king. I can only recommend it from the heart, just gigantic. Very nice wine hotel with excellent Gastonomie. We traveled with dog, which of course requires the advance notification. For the dog was in the room a cot and a feeding station including treats and a dog towel ready. We were everywhere very friendly and served. An unqualified recommendation!

Were for "so the Südpfalz" menu in the Fritz Walter restaurant. The food was good in taste and the service was very friendly. That certain something I personally still missing, therefore 4 of 5 points.
